On Saturday, the Red Sox played game 4 against the Los Angeles Dodgers in the World Series and it was an absolute doozy. The Red Sox eventually won 9-6.
The Dodgers got out to a 4 run lead, relatively early, off of an E-Rod breaking ball that was hovering just over the plate. Things seemed off for the Red Sox, who struggled to score runs in Game 3.
Now, to be fair, Game 3 was really the equivalent of 2 games, since the game was literally 18 innings long. But in the 23 innings over a 24 hour time period, the Red Sox offense was listless and tired. That was until Chris Sale got up in the dugout and screamed at his teammates to wake the hell up.
And the team did just that, responding with a 5 run inning to take a lead that they would carry for the rest of the game.
The Red Sox now hold a 3-1, do or die lead on the series. And they’re going to close it out.
My prediction said Red Sox in 5 games. It still stands.
One more win.
