A few days ago, I received a text from The Great Sambino about a magazine that he received in his mailbox. The text conversation is as follows:
I should note that the magazine was not addressed to Sam, but the previous owner of his home. But holy crap!
Spray Foam Magazine?! Really?! Who reads this?! I can’t imagine that readership trends continually upwards, but…maybe I’m wrong…?
According to Spray Foam Magazine‘s website:
Spray Foam Magazine is the world’s first “designed-for-digital” spray foam magazine publication. The publication is offered for free. Spray Foam Magazine is targeted to a global audience of very serious building and construction professionals and energy conscious readers. It is distributed, digitally and in print, bi-monthly to applicators, manufacturers, distributors, specifiers, general contractors, architects, engineers, and managers, in both the public and private sectors. As the exclusive SPF industry magazine publication, Spray Foam Magazine will reach the largest audience of decision makers, providing practical knowledge to those who specify, sell, and apply Spray Foam Insulation, Roofing and Equipment Products.
I totally understand the need for spray foam. I understand it’s usefulness, and it’s place in construction work.
What I don’t understand is why it has a magazine. This is the most random magazine publication that I’ve ever seen. As Sam said before, it looks like it belongs in Obscure Sports Quarterly. (Less the sports, I think?)
More pictures from the magazine:
This is absolutely incredible. It’s so random and I love it.
I still want to know more about it, though, so I went ahead, as usual, and signed Ben Baseball up for his free subscription.
Hopefully he reports back soon.
